How fast is ADSL?

ADSL download speeds goes up to 5 MBps. Upload speeds are up to 800 KBps. Please see ADSL Plans for details.

Can I use my telephone while using ADSL service?

Yes, you can use your existing phone line for voice communications while using ADSL Internet service at the same time.

What will happen to the voice features on my existing phone line?

ADSL Internet service will not affect your voice features.

What applications work with ADSL?

ADSL Internet service will not affect any applications on your computer. ADSL is the gateway for you to access the Internet.

What equipment do I need for ADSL?

You must have a personal computer with an Ethernet port. Times Telecom will provide you with an ADSL modem.

What Operating Systems are supported?

Times Telecom ADSL supports all PC and MAC operating systems.

What about account limitations?

Maximum capacity of individual email sent and received is 10MB.
Maximum web storage is 10MB.
Other account limitations vary based on plan. Please refer to plan descriptions for more details.

How quickly can I expect service to be provided once a line is qualified?

Currently, service can be usually provided within 14 days after line qualification.

Where can I obtain the ADSL modem?

Times Telecom provides you with an ADSL modem as part of your plan. Modems are not interchangeable with ADSL systems in other locales.
